Senior Auditor - Permanent - HX1

Rate: £ 30 K (full-time (per year)) + + unlimited bonus structure
To lead and undertake audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and operational controls and contribute to the effective delivery of the audit plan. Key Accountabilities:-
* Participates in and regularly leads audit teams on a range of business audits, providing direction, management and coaching and feedback to the team to ensure satisfactory conclusion of the audit, role modelling GIA values and encouraging & challenging colleagues to demonstrate GIA values
* Plan and lead the execution of audit work through the analysis and identification of business objectives and risks in accordance with agreed scope, applying audit skills and process to identify significant control weaknesses
* Ensure appropriate in-depth testing of business controls is undertaken to identify and assess risk to the achievement of business objectives, substantiating findings and making recommendations to optimise controls, influencing change as appropriate
* Responsible for production of quality audit files, reports and management information compliant to departmental timescales and standards, including review of auditors work as appropriate, understanding the impact that suggested control enhancements raised may have and presenting information effectively and influentially to senior stakeholders within GIA and the business
* Develops strong working business relationships to enhance knowledge of business area and to influence the implementation of audit findings and recommendations
* Ensure best practice is transferred around the HBOS Group through audit activity and embrace the culture of GIA continuous improvement through contributions made to ongoing departmental initiatives
Salary: £30,000 basic plus bonus structure
